The School

San Gorgonio Ballet School provides professional high quality training in classical ballet, training in the traditional Russian and French methods. We focus highly on strength, correct body placement, technique and injury prevention, to develop strong versatile classical dancers.

Our dance instructors have vast experience working with professional dance companies and have many years of experience training dancers of all levels from those seeking professional careers to those who dance for health, enjoyment, and enrichment.

We offer classes for Beginner through Advanced for Youth, Adult, and Senior. Our recommended age for beginning students is six years old.

Classes are offered in our spacious studio featuring wall mounted and portable barres, wall-mounted mirrors, and sprung Marley floors. The studio also features a student lounge area for rest between classes as well as a dancer’s boutique where you may purchase dancewear needs, snacks, and other unique dance inspired gift items.

The Company

San Gorgonio Ballet is a professional ballet company. Founded in 2003
by Julia Olsen-Rodriguez with the intent and purpose of providing high quality new works along with well known classical favorites. The company has created many original works bringing in noted composers, choreographers, actors, and vocalists.

The company presented it’s Premiere Performance at the Annenberg Theater in Palm Springs, CA which included the original ballets “Simple Symphony”, “Valse Espana”, “Classical Pastisch”, “Le Printemps”,and “Shoshangane”(Choreographed by John Magnus).

Overtime, the repertoire has grown to include many original works by Founding Artistic Director Julia Olsen-Rodriguez. Most noted are “Hans Christian Andersen”, “Amour’s Garden”, “Infinity”, “A Tribute to Minkus”, and her signature ballet, “Remember Charlie: A Tribute to Charles Chaplin”.

Ms. Olsen-Rodriguez has also staged such classics as “The Nutcracker”, and excerpts from “Le Patineurs”, “Le Corsair”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “Flower Festival at Genzano”, “Don Quijote”, and “Giselle” to name a few.
